John Voitin
John‘s extensive legal and business skills have been honed in over 30 years of experience of practising in the legal profession.
John became a partner at the city firm of Henty Jepson & Kelley - a six partner legal practice employing in excess of 50 staff and having its head office in William Street, Melbourne in 1983.
In 1995, John founded the firm of Voitin Walker Davis with partners Alan Walker and Rohan Davis where he remained as a partner until 2000. This firm practiced predominantly in the area of commercial and property Law. During this period, John also served as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Vanuatu to the state of Victoria.
In 2000, John and Allan divested their interest in the practice of Voitin Walker Davis Australia and established Voitin Walker Davis in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, acting exclusively in the areas of international trade law and Australian migration law.
John Voitin lived in Dubai from 2000 to 2004 and was instrumental in establishing offices for Voitin Walker Davis Dubai in Bahrain, Muscat, Qatar, Mumbai and Chennai. At the end of 2004, John resigned his interest in the Dubai practice and returned permanently to Melbourne.
In 2005, John established Voitin Lawyers.
John’s areas of expertise include commercial structuring, international trade law, migration and insolvency.
In addition to the practice of law, Mr Voitin has business interests in both property developments and agriculture.
John obtained his law degree at Monash University and also holds a post graduate diploma in commercial law obtained from Monash University. |
